Sajid Nadiadwala, who is presenting and releasing Highway worldwide, is very excited about the project.
"Come to think of it, it was only last December that we agreed to go ahead with the film. And to start the shoot in March and then stick to the
schedules despite being such a tough shoot is quite incredible," Nadiadwala said in a statement.
The movie traverses across the roads of six Indian states and has music by maestro AR Rahman, who has been trying to match the film musically to the varied vistas of the film - from Delhi to Rajasthan, Haryana to Himachal, Punjab to Kashmir.
Highway is a project very close to Ali, known for movies like Jab We Met, Love Aaj Kal and Rockstar.
After Kareena Kapoor as Geet in Jab We Met and Deepika Padukone as Meera in Love Aaj Kal, this time Alia Bhatt will be seen as Veera. (with IANS inputs)

It should stay untouched: Alia Bhatt
A while back, actor-director Pooja Bhatt made headlines by stating that she would love to remake the 1991 hit, Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahi, with sister Alia reprising her role from the original. However, Alia feels that Pooja should refrain from remaking the iconic rom-com.
“Pooja has merely mentioned that if she ever wanted to remake Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi, which I think she shouldn’t, she would want me in it. But nothing of that sort is happening, so it (talks about the remake) has no weight yet. I personally reckon that the film is simply untouchable. I am a great fan of that movie,” says Alia. ABCD Sequel Soon....
Since its
release last Friday, ABCD – Any Body Can Dance, has awed the audience as
well as ranked in good figures at the box office. It’s no wonder then
that producers UTV have roped in the film’s
choreographer-turned-director, Remo D’Souza, for a sequel.
The film will retain the cast of ABCD , with a few
fresh additions. Remo confirms, “UTV has whole-heartedly backed my
vision and been kicked from the word go. I’m very excited to have been
offered two more films under the banner.
One of them could be the sequel to ABCD, which I’m currently working on.
Siddharth Roy Kapur, managing director — Studios, Disney UTV, too is thrilled by the response to India’s first 3D dance film. ABCD showcases Remo’s ability to thrill and entertain his audience, while at the same time, he handles emotion and drama with sensitivity. :
He’s worked with a team of superb dancers and has brought out the actor in each one of them. We’re thrilled to be continuing our association with him,” he says.
ABCD stars Prabhudheva, Ganesh Acharya, Kay Kay Menon, Dharmesh Yelande, Salman Yusuff Khan and Lauren Gottlieb among others.

I want to open my own dance academy: Faisal Khan
All
of 13 years, but Faisal Khan already has numerous fans! How? The child
performer was recently voted the winner of a dance reality show. But the
electrifying performer, who can make even the most complex of dance
moves look easy, has simple plans for his prize money.
"I will give it to my parents. But for myself, I want to buy a bicycle and maybe a video game."
The Class VIII student of Meera's Academy, whose father earns a living by driving an autorickshaw in Mumbai, still can't believe he has won. "I can't stop looking at the trophy. I cut a cake after I was declared the winner. I felt as if it was my birthday. My mom also called from Mumbai and said that residents of my chawl (Hussain Khan Pathan chawl) in Ghatkopar were celebrating my win. They burst crackers and distributed sweets. So yes, it feels like a combination of Diwali, Eid and my birthday," laughs the child star who considers Hrithik Roshan his idol.
Ronal
So, how much has life changed after the win, we ask. "Earlier I would see others on television, now I see myself on screen — that's the biggest change, I guess. When celebrities come up to meet me, it feels so good. But then, I feel happiest when people want to get pictures clicked with me and ask for my autograph," says Faisal.
Speaking about his future plans, he reveals that he dreams of becoming a choreographer or an actor. "Also, I want to open my own dance academy some day. But I mostly concentrate on one thing at a time. During the auditions, I just wanted to win the silver wings. After that I concentrated on getting good remarks from the judges. But then, I decided to leave everything to destiny," adds the dance performer.

Incidentally, he's been a favourite with choreographer Geeta Kapur
since Day 1, when he turned up for auditions in Mumbai. The dance guru
even went on to say that she wished she was blessed with a son like
Faisal. Don't the other contestants feel left out when Geeta praises him
so much? "Not really. She is not at all partial in her judgement. She
is like everyone's mother in the show,"

Shah Rukh Khan to Host Bigg Boss Season 7?
However, this year Salman's fans will be in a shock. As per the rumours floating around, the actor may not be able to host the show. Salman, who is busy with his movies and regular health checkups, may have to opt out of the show.
However, to retain the popularity of the show and make sure the TRPS don't fall, the show's producers may approach Salman's arch-rival Shah Rukh Khan to host the show.
The charismatic Shah Rukh Khan had hosted the third season of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' and was successful in retaining the appeal the show which was initially hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
Bigg Boss is a reality show based on the original Dutch Big Brother
format developed by John de Mol. A number of contestants (known as
'housemates') live together in a purpose-built house and are isolated
from the rest of the world. Most of these contestants are from TV
industry, with few exceptions from Bollywood or sports. Due to its
popularity, the show now comes in other regional languages.
